The McArthur Mustangs kicked off their basketball season with an exciting victory over Deerfield Beach High School, 58-53, in a hard-fought game at McArthur High School. Both teams entered the matchup eager to start the season strong, and the contest delivered plenty of action and momentum swings.

The McArthur High School Mustangs boys’ varsity basketball team is gearing up for an exciting and fast-paced season filled with high-energy offense and scrappy defense. Under the guidance of dedicated coaching staff, the Mustangs aim to make a strong impression both on their home court and in several prestigious tournaments throughout the season.
Offensively, the Mustangs are known for their quick, attacking style. Led by their talented 6'8" athletic forward Jordan Noel, the team looks to dominate the paint and create scoring opportunities with their relentless tempo. Complementing Noel’s presence inside are sharpshooters like 6'4" wing Chase Lewis and 6'2" versatile guard Sahmaj Alcime, who can stretch defenses with their outside shooting. Point guard Carson Burgs, at 5'11", will be the floor general, orchestrating the offense with his quick decision-making and ball-handling skills.
Defensively, the Mustangs are just as aggressive. Scrappy and relentless, players like 6'0" defensive pest Victormaury Souffrant are expected to set the tone with their tenacity and ability to disrupt opponents' plays. The McArthur Mustangs are back in the Sunshine State Explosion! 2 Days of games all day, The Sunshine State Explosion is one of South Florida most prestigious basketball showcases and will take place December 29th and 30th at North Broward Prep. The McArthur Mustang will battle against Monsignor Pace on 12/29 at 1pm and vs Homestead HS on 12/30 at 6pm.
